A parcel is a piece of land defined by ownership. The boundaries for each parcel are defined in the legal description included in each deed conveying the property from one owner to another. This data is tracked and maintained by each county's appraisal district.</span></div><div style='font-family:"Avenir Next W01", "Avenir Next W00", "Avenir Next", Avenir, "Helvetica Neue", sans-serif; font-size:16px;'><p style='margin-top:0px; margin-bottom:6px; padding-bottom:1em; font-family:"Segoe UI", Arial, sans-serif; font-size:13.3333px;'>The City of Fort Worth maintains a separate but related type of record called a lot. Lots are tracked as subdivisions are initially platted and are recorded in CAD_CFWLAND. As a parcel is the portion of land that is sold, a parcel may match a lot, it may include multiple lots, or even include partial lots. The legal description for the parcel will determine which lot or lots and what portion of each is included in the parcel. Therefore, parcels will often, but not always, align with the city's lot data.</p><p style='margin-top:0px; margin-bottom:6px; padding-bottom:1em; font-family:"Segoe UI", Arial, sans-serif; font-size:13.3333px;'>Fort Worth's parcel coverage includes all of Tarrant County as well as parcels in Denton, Johnson, Parker, and Wise Counties which fall in either the City of Fort Worth city limits or the ETJ. Full updates are performed by Fort Worth's IT Solutions department annually following the release of certified parcel data in July-August of each year. The current data is reflective of 2024 Certified data for Denton, Wise, Parker, Tarrant, and Johnson Counties. Tarrant county ownership data is updated by script nightly.</p><p style='margin-top:0px; margin-bottom:6px; padding-bottom:1em; font-family:"Segoe UI", Arial, sans-serif; font-size:13.3333px;'><b>Note:</b> Many newly divided parcels in Parker County were found to have address errors.
