La fuente de datos que permite monitorizar la impermeabilidad de los suelos es una de las capas de alta resolución del programa Copernicus, denominada Imperviousness (impermeabilidad), disponible a día de hoy con carácter trienal.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style='text-align:justify;'&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style='text-align:justify;'&gt;Los productos de impermeabilidad capturan el porcentaje y cambio de sellado del suelo. Las áreas construidas se caracterizan por la sustitución de la cobertura del suelo (semi-) natural original o la superficie del agua por una cubierta artificial, a menudo impermeable. Estas superficies artificiales generalmente se mantienen durante largos períodos de tiempo. La impermeabilidad HRL captura la distribución espacial de las áreas selladas artificialmente, incluido el nivel de sellado del suelo por unidad de área. El nivel de suelo sellado (grado de impermeabilidad 1-100%) se produce mediante una clasificación semiautomática, basada en NDVI calibrado.
