Heat Zones
These two layers which support the Planting for the Future story map show the heat zones currently present in Wisconsin now and what are predicted to be present in Wisconsin by the end of the 21st century, assuming high emissions of greenhouse gases continue. These show the number of days at or above 86 degrees Fahrenheit.<div><br /></div><div>Layers were extracted from a <a href='https://www.nrs.fs.fed.us/pubs/55870' target='_blank' rel='nofollow ugc noopener noreferrer'>wider set of climate change data</a> from the U.S. Forest Service.</div>
Two layers to support the Planting for the Future story map, about potential changes to the Wisconsin climate and promising urban tree species under different climate change scenarios.
