Description: These points represent the locations of entrances to Washington State Parks properties. There is one point for each property, even in cases where a park has multiple possible entrances. Properties that are islands, or that are parts of islands, have more arbitrary entrance locations. This layer intended for use in online applications that supply driving directions from a users's chosen location to the selected park entrance. Also used to calculate drive-time polygons for state parks. The proper location of entrances is open to a fair bit of interpretation; however, in most cases these locations will serve to provide reasonable results.
