Description: This layer was developed from the green roof suitability raster by selecting buildings with green roof potential of greater than or equal to 5,000 sq ft, or greater than or equal to 30% of total roof area. Event volume capture and annual volume capture capacity calculated for all suitable buildings using the Center for Neighborhood Technology's Green Values Stormwater Management Calculator (2010). Annual stormwater interception value and annual air pollutants removed calculated using the Center for Neighborhood Technology's Green Values Strategy Guide (2020). Annual energy savings and annual CO2 offset calculated using the General Services Administration's "The Benefits and Challenges of Green Roofs on Public and Commercial Buildings (2011). Energy savings used adjusted 2022 price per kwh for Virginia.
