Amenities feature layers of the 2026 Wayfinding and Amenities Phase 2 study for Northern Virginia portion of Potomac Heritage National Scenic Trail. This phase examined where the trail requires increased and improved signage and amenities for greater trail accessibility. Wayfinding and amenities data collected from Phase One were utilized to create a full wayfinding and amenities implementation plan, including the prioritization of recommended sites to install new wayfinding and amenities. The study was completed in February 2026.
As a foundation, the existing and planned trail alignment as of September 2024 and existing wayfinding inventoried as of October 2024 were utilized to assess. The recommendation layers contain results of the study. The other layers are reference layers only.
