Feature showing LA Perennial section of the LA River. This Line feature was edited to better fit the visible river on the base map by editing the vertices. This feature was dissolved to create a single segment from the 17 segments.
This layer shows vacant parcels that are 0.25 acres or larger. These parcels are within 0.5 miles from the LA river and 0.25 miles from existing parks. These parcels include specific demographic attributes.

U.S. Census Block Centroid Populations represents the populations of the U.S. Census blocks as centroids for the area within a distance of 1 mile from the LA river.
2015/2020 demographic forecasts, including total population, household population, population of peoples over 18 years of age, median and average income, population density, square miles, and percent of kids (under 18). This feature layer shows demographics for an area with 1 mile around the LA River. The new fields added include , pop density, percent kids, Area SQMI,
U.S. Parks represents parks and forests within a mile of the LA River. New parks feature layer were appended to this layer. The vertices of the polygons were edited to better fit the parks shown on the basemap. Lastly, Vista Hermosa Park was added to this feature layer.
VacantParcels.dbf was joined to this parcels layer. Features were copied and dissolve tool was used on vacant parcels.
