Road segments that have been given a ranking from 0 to 5 corresponding to the snow plowing priority order for that road.
A ranking of 0 indicates that the State is responsible for snow plowing. A ranking of 1 indicates highest city priority (typically major arterial roads, minor arterial roads, and roads affording access to schools), followed by 2 (typically collector roads) and then 3 (contractor maintained local roads). A ranking of 4 indicates a road that is privately maintained, while a ranking of 5 indicates county maintained roads that are outside of city limits.
This feature class and its schema were adapted from existing road centerlines data maintained by the City of Bend. The data is utilized in winter operations maps provided by the Office of Performance Management to the Streets and Operations Department. These maps are used by city snow plows and contractors to determine plow priority during snow events, as well as the public in determining general street plowing schedules.
