Description: This polygon feature class represents boundaries of the 72 counties in Wisconsin. The data is derived from the U.S. Census Bureau's 1990 TIGER/Line files. NOTE: The feature class SDEDNR.EN_COUNTY_BND_REGN_AR_24K provides a more accurate and current representation of Wisconsin County boundaries.
In January 2018, GIS Section staff edited a portion of the Pierce County boundary in the Wacouta Bay area at the North end of Lake Pepin to more accurately represent the Minnesota/Wisconsin state boundary, and to be more consistent with SDEDNR.EN_COUNTY_BND_REGN_AR_24K.
