This feature class shows FEMA FIRM panels covering the City of Pearland’s footprint. It was developed “in-house” by the GIS Department and is intended to serve primarily as a quick reference for personnel in the Engineering and other Departments. When new flood maps (FIRMs) are issued, and flood zones correspondingly change, this layer should also be updated to show the current panel designation and effective date. Having been produced somewhat quickly in-house, accuracy of the boundaries is approximate.
