This polyline shapefile is the draft final version of the irrigation canal mapping for Division 2, Arkansas River Basin. For details on how the shapefile was created please see the memo entitled: "ArkDSS Task 1, Spatial System Integration Component; Subtask 1.1, Structure, System, and Service Area Mapping; Subtask 1.1.A, Irrigation Canal Mapping". Attributes associated with this shapefile include:

- Original dataset that trace was sourced from
- Choices: DITCH_D2, DITCHTRACE_D2, DITCHBLWPUEBLO_D2, DITCHTRACE_D2/HRS, SEO, NHD, NHD/HRS, NHD, and HRS
COMMENT_HRS
- Semi-detailed notes for each trace
Poss_WDID
- WDID assigned to trace
- If the trace is marked for deletion, then 1111 is assigned
Poss_NAME
- Canal name
- Name will match the given name in the Hydrobase database
LATERAL
- Denotes whether the trace is a lateral to a larger canal
- Choices: ‘Y’ or NULL
Type_Code
- Standardized identification given to each trace to denote the type of trace
- Choices:
  - Existing NHD - Assigned a WDID to existing NHD trace based on either NHD name, adjacency to diversion structure at beginning of trace, or adjacent irrigated parcel WDID assignment.
  - Delete – These traces are marked to be deleted.
  - Existing DITCH_D2 – Kept this trace, which was initially included in the Division 2 DITCH_D2 dataset
  - Existing DITCHBLWPUEBLO_D2 - Kept this trace, which was initially included in the Division 2 DITCHBLWPUEBLO _D2 dataset
  - Existing DITCHTRACE_D2 - Kept this trace, which was initially included in the Division 2 DITCHTRACE _D2 dataset
  - Existing DITCHTRACE_D2 and newly digitized – Kept the DITCHTRACE_D2 trace from the Division 2 DITCHTRACE_D2 dataset as well as added additional extent to the trace based on aerial imagery
  - Newly Digitized Trace – New trace digitized
  - Existing DITCHBLWPUEBLO_D2 and NHD – Kept the DITCHBLWPUEBLO_D2 trace from the Division 2 DITCHBLWPUEBLO_D2 dataset as well as added additional extent to trace with existing USGS NHD dataset
  - Existing NHD and newly digitized – Kept existing NHD trace as well as added trace extent based on aerial imagery
  - Based on DITCH_D2 – Loosely followed the existing DITCH _D2, but did photo revision
  - Based on DITCHTRACE_D2 – Loosely followed the existing DITCHTRACE_D2 trace, but did photo revision
