Description:

The Byers Sub-Area Plan, approved in 2003, identifies goals and strategies to meet the vision of Byers as a well-planned, small community with areas for growth as well as preservation of neighborhoods and the small town, historic character. There are eight land use designations in this layer that reflect the vision for new development as well as the preservation of existing residential neighborhoods and commercial areas. The designations include residential, commercial and mixed-use, Town Center, community, agriculture, open space, recreation, and industrial land uses.
