Service Description: The Municipal Revenues Collection Center (CRIM) requires to acquire 4-band digital aerial imagery for planimetric updating over the entire island of Puerto Rico. The aerial imagery will also be used to create digital ortho imagery having two different pixels resolutions including: Urban-10cm and Rural-20cm. The digital imagery will also be used to update the planimetric and pre-defined property feature databases. All of the ortho imagery and vector data products developed from this project will update the CRIMs enterprise Geographical Information System (GIS), which will support the important tax and revenue collection mission of the CRIM. The over-all project size (land area) is approximately 9,104 square kilometers (3,508 square miles planimetrics and 4,293 square miles imagery), including the islands of Culebra, Vieques, Monito, Desecheo and Mona.

Description: One of Merrick's primary tasks in the CRIM project was to update their Building feature class. Merrick collected new structures/buildings with a minimum size of 100 square feet or 9.3 square meters, and updated any changes in the existing structures that exceed 100 square feet or 9.3 square meters. Original buildings that were covered by the dense tree canopy will not be removed when it could not be verified to exist. The height attribute was added which represented the actual height of the structure from ground to the highest point of the structure. The Parcel Identification Number (Old and New) was transferred from the Parcel feature class provided by CRIM. The building_poly feature class included the all types of building: Residential, Commercial, Mobile Homes, Covered Porches, Permanent Overhangs, Carport Roofs and Foundations into one classification.
