Service Description: This Kernel Interpolation map displays a continuous surface of estimated NO₂ concentrations across California, generated from EPA site-level monitoring points. Warmer colors (yellow–orange–red) represent higher predicted NO₂ levels, while cooler colors (green) indicate lower concentrations across the state. A 3 km buffer was placed around all Air Force bases in California—shown with the hatched pattern—to visualize how predicted NO₂ levels relate to the immediate surroundings of these installations.
